If you are looking for a hosting provider, you need to check out Media Temple’s new Grid Server product that launched this morning. For $20 per month (the same price as most low end shared hosting providers), they are offering a fully scalable hosting product that will grow (or spike) along with your site. See TechCrunch for more details, but there are aspects to this that are superior to shared, virtual dedicated, and even dedicated server hosting.
Michael Arrington spoke with Demian Sellfors (CEO), Chris Leah (Director of Technology), Alex Capehart (Director Marketing) and David Feinberg (Product Manager) for 30 minutes yesterday about the new product. The podcast is enclosed.

[...] Don’t miss the TalkCrunch podcast featuring Media Temple management (via Paul Stamatiou. Note: site / post / screencast is in no way sponsorized by Media Temple (or anyone else for that matter). My first attempt at a screencast (activecollab) went over fairly well, and I simply wanted some practice. Very little time was spent creating this, so watch at your own risk. [...]
Does the grid server support PHP sessions?
[...] I listened to Michael Arrington’s podcast interview of the guys behind Media Temple last night and their new shared hosting product piqued my interest. If it fulfills even just 80 percent of what the guys behind the service promised then it will be a phenomenal development in the web service industry. [...]

[...] Podcast par Media Temple Grid Server! [...]
I found it lacking, for now, myself.
yes they launched new service, but hey people it is only a nice talk. I am one of the customers with 4 domains and last month after switching to (gs) I decided to talk, because mt is not gonna say a word about what is going on. mt (gs) is not stable at all. I have my site constanly (2-3) times a day down for the past month. Last month I submited over 30 tickets and I call to mt more than 15 times. Customer support is bussy like never before. One day they told they have 400 tickets and they not gonna be able to help me in next few days. So mt how great you are. I would say you are worste hosting provider now.
you better STAY AWAY from the grid server
here is why:
