I interviewed former Speaker of the House Newt Gringrich this morning about his goals with American Solutions, which now has a Silicon Valley office. We also spoke about a number of technology issues, and his thoughts on the upcoming presidential election. More on TechCrunch, along with the full transcript of the conversation.
Total talk time is just over 30 minutes.

Tech people are Republicans? You do remember that Newt and his people tried to get rid of education spending in the 90s, right? see [mafia] Contract with [on] America.
great thought provoking interview
Of course some tech people are republicans… though I was surprised that Newt Gingrich could speak intelligently about technology. I guess I’m used to 10 second news clips, not actual interviews. While I’m glad you posted this here, it’s too bad these sorts of interviews aren’t aired on regular TV. Who can make a complete point in a quick 10 second clip?
Republicans or Democrats, they are all looking out for themselves and not the little guys like you and me. I don’t think they lack intelligence or technology savvy, they just don’t have the moral conscience you’d expect from leaders.
Good interview but I can’t honestly believe Newt and the Republicans believe they are a leader in the technology industry. Not only after Obama embraced using Facebook, Twitter and the Social Media generation did the GOP start to utilize the same platform. Like I said, nice interview but very hard to believe.
So informative things are provided here. I am really happy to read this post.I have got the valuable information and have bookmarked it already for more.
That is a thought provoking interview. I know teckies that Republicans. I also know some who are Democrats. And I know some who are Libertarians. There is a lively mix of political thought among them.
